Hello everyone! It's Paula! I know I'm not as active on Deviantart as I would like to be. Sorry about that. I'm tackling the fifteen thousand and some odd notifications, so you will all be hearing back from me!
Okay. Now to address my crafting as of late.

Knitting:

- scarf: 15% done in various scrap yarns

Loom Knitting:

- baby hats: about 25 done from what I last counted. Keep in mind, some of my crafting things are in a different location

Crocheting:

- Baby Blanket 1: 100% , ends weaved in and all.
-Baby Blanket 2: 45-50% done.
-Blanket 3: 20% done.

Reading:

I have Kindle Unlimited and Audible as well as the Kindle Free list. This will be updated when I have a full list of what I'm reading. I'm participating in the Goodreads Reading Challenge of 2016 with a goal of 250 books. I have read about 13 so far. I passed my goal in 2015 but I started with only 3 months until the end of 2015.
*****Will update

Everything Else:

Okay so some good news! We're getting an apartment! Expected move in date is two days after our eviction date from our old house, which we were evicted from back in April 2015. The family had a sobering chuckle about that. I am currently learning HTML and CSS coding, finishing up for my GED, studying for my license and trying to find a job. I still plan on opening my own shop online for my crafts. Question. Would you use Bigcartel, Etsy, Wix or other? Suggestions are absolutely welcome in the comments or even a message! I welcome either! What works best for you?
OTHER: I am attempting to learn more about drawing because I have the talent of drawing stick figures. Traditional or Digital? What tools work best for you? I am not financially able to buy a tablet yet, so leave me suggestions on what to use! Photoshop, Corel or Gimp? HALP.

Okay. I've ranted enough. What's up with YOU?

I have tried BigCartel, but it's very hard to start from there, since there's no promotion from bigcartel itself that leads customers to your shop. You have 5 spaces where to sell stuff that doesn't cost you anything. Etsy is different, it makes finding your shop a lot easier. It easier to use inter-platform (Facebook, Twitter, Tumblr, etc.). The downside is that they charge you a fee for every product you have online, whether or not if you've sold any. However, this is just a few cents. I don't know Wix, so can't really say anything about that.

Good luck with the moving, hope you can stay somewhere during those two days of homelessness

I'll check out Etsy and work from there. Wix does sound appealing but I'll have to do some more research. Thank you!

Thank you! I've been staying at a friend's house since we got evicted back in April of 2015. A year of no stability, I'm ready for some.

Glad to hear you 're doing fine! :D
Could you mention your goodreads profile, so that I could follow you there? It would be nice and we could share book recommendations, although I read waaaay less than you.
As for an online shop, I think etsy is the most well known and generally best platform for independent ctraftsmen.

nice to hear from you :) so many cool projects!! thanks for all the new faves, by the way!!

I hope the move will be smooth, despite the circumstances

I don't know much about the online shops, but I've bought quite a few things from Etsy shops and it seems pretty easy to use...

as for drawing, I'd say traditional and digital are both great... I like both and use both... when trying to improve, digital has the advantage that you can erase easily what you don't like and you don't need to begin everything from the start again if you make a big mistake; while traditional has the advantage that you can draw/sketch wherever and whenever inspiration strikes :)
