So, I want to embark on the task of making a version of Tom Baker's scarf in the show Doctor Who, BUT.. I want to crochet it as a blanket!
Now the big issue is I've looked at various color schemes for it, I just don't know what brand of yarn to go with and what exact colors. Now if anyone has attempted this project, can you lend a few pointers or tips?
Thanks everyone and I will be uploading a few new scarves within this coming week, craft trades and Christmas presents.
Also. I have a $25 Amazon gift card and have absolutely no idea of what to do with it!

Okay. Now to address my crafting as of late.
Knitting:- scarf: 15% done in various scrap yarnsLoom Knitting:- baby hats: about 25 done from what I last counted. Keep in mind, some of my crafting things are in a different location
Crocheting:
- Baby Blanket 1: 100% , ends weaved in and all.
-Baby Blanket 2: 45-50% done.
-Blanket 3: 20% done.

I made the Tom Baker scarf before. There's a website that has patterns to knit the ones from the seasons he was on the show. [link] It's knitted in garter stitch so it will be easy to convert it into single crochet. The website recommends double knit wool yarn.
